THE BEFORE

Having undergone its last update some 30-40 years ago, this workhorse kitchen was in need of a little love. Our clients were ready to say “goodbye” to the green tile countertops which dominated the space, as well as a few appliances. They wanted a kitchen design that felt more original to the home, while keeping the project extremely low-waste.

THE AFTER

We made the smallest number of changes that had the largest impact. The existing cabinets remained, but received a new coat of paint and hand-crafted hardware from New York. Local soapstone countertops replaced the former tile, and subtle millwork details both created additional storage and called back to the original 1920s Spanish Revival style. We love the V-groove added throughout, which mimics the design of their original front door.
