THE BEFORE
Our client desperately needed a clean, modern, and inviting space for her budding letterpress studio in Wash Park.
Her existing carriage house had been converted into a garage but was unfinished and unheated.
Original details like the windows and brick were a must-keep, but function and light (for photographing her creations) were a must.
THE AFTER
We finished the space – still keeping the original details – and increased function by creating a separate office area for entertaining clients and lots of storage for paper, ink, and product.
A coat of white paint and light furniture kept things feeling airy, while the time-worn desk and antique-inspired desk chair were balanced with contemporary light fixtures and a floating credenza.
Above all, a soft, light, feminine feel was created in keeping with our client’s brand.
