Lakewood, CO
The Before:This 1970s ranch home in Lakewood was purchased from the original owner, and had never been updated save a late 90s bathroom remodel.
The house was brown from head-to-toe, complete with shag carpet and linoleum. It had a great potential though, and its own eclectic, modern vibe.
The After:By opening up the old dining room and kitchen, we were able to create one large kitchen space – moving the dining room to the front of the house.
Pecan floors and white walls went a long way to brightening the dark home, as did the addition of a pair of large, sliding glass doors in the living room out to the deck.
The once-orange fireplace received a fresh coat of paint, while the unfinished laundry room was reimagined with neutral wood cabinetry and lots of storage.
The new palette is bright, organic, and earthy with references to the home’s original period.
