THE BEFORE
This Denver Foursquare (built in 1906) is a treasure nestled along the quiet, tree-lined streets around Cheeseman Park. Though it had been well-taken care of for the last 100+ years, subsequent remodels had not done the home any favors – especially when it came to utilizing space. Our clients charged us with a full-home remodel, including adding a double shower, wet room, sauna, and walk-in closet and reimagining the kitchen layout to create a functional, beautiful home for their growing family.
THE AFTER
In every room, creating period-appropriate details was a must. We poured our knowledge of Prairie- and Classical Revival-inspired vernacular architecture into every space, from the added kitchen beams to the basement fireplace surround and door hardware.
And yes, the dreams they had harbored for their primary suite came true thanks to an updated second floor plan that borrowed unused space from the bedroom. Light-filled and perfectly balanced, their home is now a cozy respite to be proud of.
